Reading Programs at the Lewiston Library provide entertainment for everyone

Holiday Closure

The library will be closed Monday, September 6, in observance of Labor Day. We will reopen at 10a.m. on Tuesday.


Pajama Storytime

Let us tell the bedtime stories. Don your pajamas and join us for stories, songs, and a craft Tuesday, September 7, at 6 pm.


“Rodeo” Storytime

Saddle up for some wild rodeo stories, songs, and a craft this Wednesday, September 8, and Thursday, September 9, at 10:30 a.m.


Every Child Ready to Read Workshop

Friday, September 10th, is the deadline to sign up for this free six-week workshop, Every Child Ready to Read.

Beginning Tuesday, September 21st and continuing each Tuesday evening through October 26th, families are invited to the Community Center to learn and practice early literacy skills that prepare youngsters for reading success in school.

Registration forms may be picked up at the library. Space limited to 15 families so be sure to register today!

Nature Crafts Family Program

Families are invited to experience the joys of natures and to have fun with your kids creating crafts from items found in nature, Saturday, September 11, 2-4pm.

Peruse our online databases for information on just about anything. Visit our website and click "Online Resources" to learn about automobile & small engine repair, investment & business resources, education & careers, genealogy, homework help for all ages, children's audio books, newspapers, medical information, maps and much more.

A library card is required to sign onto some of the databases.

Recycle4Readers Program

Turn your recyclables into new books!

Take your recyclable metals to Pacific Steel & Recycling and tell them you want to donate the proceeds to Lewiston City Library's new book fund and give the gift of reading today.
