LC Valley CirclesTM Initiative is awarded a Grant from the Idaho Community Foundation

LEWISTON, ID. Through its lead agency, the Community Action Partnership, the L C Valley CirclesTM Initiative has received a grant of $1,000 from the Idaho Community Foundation for the CirclesTM Weekly Community Meetings and for removing barriers for low-income families.

"The grant will make it possible for us to provide our no-cost dinners and community meetings that are offered every Tuesday at the Lewiston First United Methodist Church (1906 Broadview) from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM. These community meetings help to educate the public about poverty and provide information and support for low-income individuals to prepare them to leave poverty," said Carol Peterson, co-chair of the LC Valley CirclesTM Guiding Coalition. "The Idaho Community Foundation deserves special thanks for helping us make this possible."

The Idaho Community Foundation is a state wide nonprofit organization composed of over 400 individual funds, pooled together for efficient management. Total assets are more than $55 million. Since its inception in 1988, ICF has made charitable distributions totaling more than $41 million.

The Idaho Community Foundation attracts assets from a wide range of donors within and outside the state of Idaho. It manages and invests its assets primarily as permanent endouwment. Return from the endowment is distributed to charitable organizations as grants aimed at enriching the quality of life throughout Idaho. The Idaho Community Foundation encourages citizens to join as members to help support the statewide philanthropic outreach mission.
