Preserve the Harvest at Home will be held in Lewiston on Saturday, June 13 from 9 a.m. to Noon at the Nez Perce County Fair Pavilion, 1229 Burrell Avenue. You will learn basic hot water bath and pressure canning techniques and when to use which when preserving your food to keep your family safe. You will also find out the best techniques for harvesting and storing your fresh produce. Information about different food preservation techniques will also be available to participants.
Bring your pressure canner gauge to be tested during the seminar. Cost of the seminar is $5. For more information or to pre-register, call the University of Idaho Extension in Lewiston at 208-799-3096. |
