MOSCOW, ID - - Idaho Department Fish and Game (IDFG) is asking for help in determining who shot a whitetail doe near the intersection of Lenville Road and Miller Road south of Moscow around 6 p.m. Monday, June 6.
Witnesses observed two males load the deer into an older model gray Ford pickup and quickly drive off. One of the suspects was carrying a rifle, and the pickup was covered in mud. When the witnesses arrived at the site, they discovered a newborn fawn alongside the road. The fawn has been given to a wildlife rehabilitator in Moscow.
“People should be outraged,” said Mike Dafoe, IDFG conservation officer based in Moscow.”
