Chief Timothy State Park and Alpowai Interpretive Center

Located 8 miles west of Clarkston on US 12 on Snake River

Park is 282 acres and has 11,500 feet of freshwater shoreline Formed by Lower Granite Dam flooding area leaving the island

Operated by Washington State Department of Parks.

Facilities: 66 camp sites – Fee camping, 33 with utilities.

Swimming beach, bathhouse, boat launch, day use mooring, restrooms, picnic areas, 8 covered shelters, playground equipment, water fountains, phone. Pets only on leash.

Alpowai Interpretive Center near by with historical displays.
